In this context, GRT is pleased to announce an upcoming online hands-on workshop titled “Systematic Qualitative Data Analysis Using NVivo: A Hands-On Experience.” This online hands-on workshop aims to equip participants with strong conceptual understanding and practical, application-oriented skills in qualitative data analysis using NVivo, enabling them to systematically analyze qualitative data for academic research and professional practice.
Workshop Overview
In contemporary research across disciplines such as economics, social sciences, education, health studies, management, public policy, and interdisciplinary research, qualitative data plays a crucial role in understanding meanings, experiences, perceptions, and social processes. Interviews, focus group discussions, open-ended survey responses, policy documents, and textual or multimedia data generate rich insights, but analyzing such data systematically remains a major challenge for many researchers.
Despite familiarity with qualitative research methods at a conceptual level, many students, research scholars, faculty members, and professionals struggle with organizing large volumes of qualitative data, coding, theme development, memo writing, and ensuring transparency and rigor in analysis. Manual methods often become time-consuming, inconsistent, and difficult to manage, particularly in large-scale or mixed-methods research.
This online hands-on workshop is designed to bridge this gap by integrating theoretical foundations of qualitative analysis with step-by-step practical training using NVivo, a powerful and widely used qualitative data analysis software. The workshop will guide participants through the complete qualitative analysis workflow from data preparation and coding to theme development, visualization, and interpretation thereby enhancing analytical rigor, efficiency, and research credibility.
